The process in which to post a blog can be complicated and difficult to grasp.

I thought about creating a video, myself, and showing my students how to use this site’s posting system, but I don’t feel like punishing my students more than necessary by listening to my voice just one more time…. and I’m embarrassed a little to do so.

Here’s a video on how to post to the blog. If you have questions, PLEASE put them in the comment boxes below. From here, I can respond and others can see what exactly is being said.

Learn how Mr-Munoz.com works! This post explains what a post is, how to interact with Mr. Munoz, and how to make the most out of your experience of the site.

Overview

Mr. Munoz’s site isn’t just meant for Mr. Munoz. It’s meant for anyone who wants to contribute to effective education. Yes, there’s info about Mr. Munoz’s class/teaching life, but it’s Mr. Munoz’s hope that this will be a location for students, their parents, and other teachers. This site will mostly be used by students, though. That being said, this post is for students who will be accessing information, opportunity to post content, commenting, and overall interaction with each other (maybe for a grade?). Below are highlighted parts of the site that may need explaining.

Classes

This is where Mr. Munoz will have all of his classes listed. Not all of the classes will have links due to lack of information or lack of need to have another.

If there is a link to a class, expect a syllabus and schedule of the class.

If there is not link to a class, feel free to email Mr. Munoz from the contact page.

The Blog

The blog is where news, thoughts, lesson plans, instructions, and ideas are placed. I would like to see students contribute to the pile of posts that will be the blog, but they will be invited to do so. One important note to students is that from this site, Mr. Munoz will often create websites that branch off from this main site. For example, if you’re in a Humanities class, expect a web site address like: http://www.mr-munoz.com/humanities/.

Simple right?

If you really want to know more about HOW to post to the blog, you can read the article titled “How to write a post”.

Logging In

If you do have an account and have the abilities to log in to the site, you will see the following picture:

When you enter in your username and password, click “Send” and the page will refresh automatically with the your user information loaded, just like mine in the following example:

The links that are provided are “Dashboard”, “Write a Post”, and “Exit”. I’ll go through the first two and hopefully you know what “Exit” means.

Dashboard

The “Dashboard” is the “logged-in” area for users who have passwords. The following picture is the “Dashboard” of Mr-Munoz.com:

The “Dashboard” is where you can create, edit, and delete posts, if you have a password.

Write a Post

A post is an article on a blog. The blog on Mr. Munoz’s site is where the articles (another name for posts) will be displayed for all to read.

Again, check out the “How tow write a post” article.

Additional Thoughts

The “Planner” page is a link to Mr. Munoz’s school planner. It has all of Mr. Munoz’s plans. This will most likely be password protect, but may be open to the public. This is still undetermined.

Other than that, I hope you can enjoy and interact with the website!
